How to Use Luma's 3-Layer Hair Towel Wrap
Luma works best when you use the inner layers before you secure the outer cap. Do not use it like a regular towel turban where all hair is twisted into one bundle first.
1. Open the wrap
Hold the elastic opening and find the inner layered panels. The rounded opening sits near the back of the head, and the tapered tail will be used later to secure the wrap.
2. Let damp hair hang out first
Put the wrap on so long damp hair is still hanging through the back opening. This gives you room to section the hair instead of forcing it into one pocket.
3. Start with the lower layer
Take the lower section of damp hair and place it into the lower inner panel. The goal is fabric contact, not tight twisting.
4. Continue upward
Place the remaining hair into the next inner layers. Long or thick hair should be spread into the panels so more of it touches microfiber.
5. Cover and secure
Once the hair is inside the layers, pull the outer cap over everything. Twist the tapered tail gently and tuck it into the back loop. The wrap should feel secure but not painfully tight.
Tips for a better fit
- Squeeze excess water before putting on the wrap.
- Place hair into the layers before twisting the tail.
- If the wrap feels too heavy, remove some water first and section more evenly.
- Wash the towel regularly and skip fabric softener if absorbency drops.
When to remove it
Use Luma while you do skincare, makeup, or get dressed. Then remove it and continue with air-drying, diffusing, or blow-drying as needed. The wrap helps with the towel step; it does not replace every drying method.
